This is a recognised bug on Google Pixel devices, impacting not just minimalist phone but also all other custom home screens.
We recommend trying one of the following measures:
Clear cache for the Settings app:Go to Settings (gear wheel on page with all app) > Device Settings > Apps > See all apps > Select Settings app > Storage and cache > Clear cache.
Clear Pixel Launcher cache: Go to Settings (gear wheel on page with all app) > Device Settings > Apps > See all apps > Select Pixel Launcher > Storage and cache > Clear cache.
Force-stop the Pixel Launcher: Go to Settings (gear wheel on page with all app) > Device Settings > Apps > See all apps > Select Pixel Launcher > Force Stop.
Change the 3-button navigation to gesture navigation: Go to Settings (gear wheel on page with all app) > Device Settings > Device settings > System > Navigation mode > Choose "Gesture Navigation".
